What should I wear?

Just wear comfy, stretchy clothes (no jeans!). It’s an advantage to have bare arms and legs (to hold onto the pole), so shorts and a singlet is perfect, or leggings you can roll up. Please don’t put on any creams or body-oils before you come to class, as they can make it difficult to grip the pole.


Do I need shoes?

You don’t have to have any special shoes. Our instructors usually teach the classes bare-foot, but if you want to bring high-heels or sneakers along, that’s totally fine!


Is Pole Dancing good for fitness?

Yes! Pole dancing is a fantastic way to get fit, while building flexibility and body confidence. The muscles in your shoulders, back, arms, abdominals, butt, thighs and calves are all engaged during different movements on and around the pole, and after a few weeks, you’ll start seeing muscles you never even knew you had! Dedicated pole dancers often end up with not only a slim, beautifully toned physique, but also a heightened sense of body awareness and confidence that comes from learning and practicing the wonderfully sensual moves inherent in this amazing form of dance.


Do I need to have any specific level of fitness or previous dance experience to come along?

No! Pole dancing is for every woman – regardless of age, shape, fitness, or level of experience. We offer courses from very, very beginners, right up to professional levels. Our friendly, experienced instructors provide excellent, attentive and caring tuition, and are always there to help you, or to go over moves with you as many times as you need it, and (above all) to make sure that you’re having a fantastic time! You’ll know how to move around the pole comfortably and perform a couple of tricks after your very first class, even if you’ve never done anything like pole dancing before!


I am a little bit nervous about coming – will I be comfortable in the class?

Many women feel a little nervous about starting pole dancing – they are sometimes worried that they won’t be able to do it, or that it will be embarrassing. Our instructors enter every class with a friendly, supportive, and approachable attitude, and create a fun, relaxed atmosphere where you can feel free to let go and have a ball! Pole dancing gives plenty of opportunities for laughs – it’s sexy and silly and designed to make women feel good about their bodies, and good about themselves. It’s empowering, it’s beautiful, it’s for every woman, and, above all, it’s fun. Don’t worry – you can do it!
