Our Instructors:Lisa Well, I’ve been pole dancing for about 6 years, and instructing for 3. I have a background in martial arts (black belt in Tae Kwon Do) and gymnastics, as well as in circus-skills and Burlesque (I perform on trapeze, aerial silks, and with hula-hoops). When it comes to pole, I am a cross-discipline instructor/performer, and I love to blend many of the well-known elements of pole dancing with new and exciting movements, poses and tricks from Burlesque and other dance forms. I also choreograph my own routines, and routines for our students. I love to combine fluid, sensual and artistic dance with impressive, strength-based moves, and have never, in my entire life, found any physical pursuit to be more thrilling, freeing, and satisfying than pole dancing! |

Corinne My dance background is largely in competitive figure skating, with a little gymnastics as well. I started pole dancing three years ago (at almost 30!) and have been instructing for one year. Choreography has always been a rewarding element of dance for me, and using a pole has allowed me to develop some really unique and creative styles of vertical movement. I decided to take a break from dance performance after my first child was born, and I took up running, biking and yoga to maintain my health and fitness. For me, pole dancing has become an essential activity in my life, as I’ve found no other exercise that brings together so many elements of fitness (e.g. strength, flexibility, cardio) into a single pursuit that is so fun and exhilarating! |
